Arrived in Natal!

Heraclitus arrived in Natal this morning - we will stay here 4 days to relax after an intense voyage and stock up on food and supplies. Seems like the trip was a month long and not just 9 days...one of those...raining a lot here, enormous sand dunes and it's hot and humid--and friendly as ever like everywhere in Brazil.

Heraclitus passes at slack tide under the Newton Navarro Bridge into the Potengi River. The current builds up to 2-3 knots and the river is not very wide-- a high maintenance anchorage so we are moving on to Maranao, our next destination in Brazil.
